About Trap Tox

The trapezius muscles are a pair of large, triangle shaped muscles that run from your neck down your back. By injecting neurotoxin, the muscles will relax, leading to a longer neck and help with shoulder and neck pain. Check out the hottest aesthetics trend on TikTok!

What it is

How it Works

Botox, Dysport, Xeomin or other neurotoxins are injected in the trapezius muscles at multiple points along the back of the neck. After the injection, the tight, overused trapezius muscles will relax.

What to Expect

Treatment only takes ~15 minutes with a few tiny injections. You can be in and out on your lunch break! Noticeable results should appear 3-5 days after treatment, with full results visible 14 days post treatment.

FAQs

  • Anyone with hypertrophied or very noticeable trapezius muscles may have the procedure. You must be generally physically healthy with no history of neuromuscular diseases (such as multiple sclerosis or myasthenia gravis). And of course, no pregnant or lactating women. You must be at least 18 years old.

  • You may see and feel effects in 10 – 14 days after the procedure. Occasionally, additional treatments are recommended.

  • Not really - it feels like a pinch! The needle is small, thin, and it goes by quickly to decrease the possibility of pain. No numbing agents are needed.

  • It depends on several factors including: the amount of muscle hypertrophy and which neurotoxin is used. We recommend a consultation with our injector to create a plan that is right for you.

  • There’s virtually zero downtime with these treatments. Neurotoxins are often referred to as a “lunchtime procedure,” since most patients return directly to work or normal activity immediately. Some redness and swelling may occur at the injection sites, but it usually subsides within a few hours. Very rarely, patients may experience minor bruising.

  • Results last around 3-6 months, depending on your body’s individual response.

  • Neurotoxin injections are very common, low risk procedures. Headache, minor bruising or swelling at the injection site are the most common but still rare side effects. As with any treatment, there are always risks which your injector will walk you through prior to treatment.
